PATNA: Two unidentified bike-borne criminals allegedly looted Rs9.9 lakh from a construction firm employee at Katra Bazaar under the Malsalami police station area in Patna City around 5pm on Friday.
Malsalami SHO Arvind Kumar said Pradeep had withdrawn the amount from the Katra Bazaar branch of State Bank of India and was going back to his office on a bike when the criminals snatched the bag containing cash and sped away.

“Pradeep said one of the criminals pointed a pistol at him and snatched the bag. He did not resisted,” the SHO said, adding Pradeep’s colleague was also behind him on another bike. He said both the employees had reached the bank together to withdraw the money from the firm’s account.
Claiming the loot to be suspicious, the SHO said no one raised an alarm. A police team was also near the spot for guarding an ATM kiosk which was being replenished when the incident took place, he said.
“Even the police team did not spot any suspicious movement. Police are scanning the CCTV footage to get any clue about the crime,” the SHO said.
City SP (East) Rajendra Kumar Bheel and Patna City ASP Balram Kumar Chaudhary rushed to the spot.
