Bihar government transfers 17 IPS officers

The state government transferred 17 IPS officers, including ADG and IG (headquarters) and Patna (east) SP, on Friday.

PATNA: The state government transferred 17 IPS officers, including ADG and IG (headquarters) and Patna (east) SP, on Friday.
Jitendra Kumar will take over as the new ADG (headquarters) replacing Kundan Krishnan, who has now been appointed as ADG-cum-additional commissioner of civil defence. Krishnan replaced AK Ambedkar, who will take charge as ADG (wireless and technical services).
B Srinivansan, who has been waiting for his posting, has been appointed ADG of State Crime Record Bureau and modernisation.
He will also hold the additional charge of chairman of central selection board of constable.
Nayyar Hasnain Khan has been made the new IG (headquarters). He has been replaced by Ganesh Kumar who has been transferred as IG of Muzaffarpur zone in place of Khan.
Patna SP (East) Rajendra Kumar Bheel has been made the commandant of Bihar Swabhimaan Police Battalion at Valmiki Nagar in Bagaha. Bheel has been replaced by Jitendra Kumar, who was posted as SDPO of Triveniganj in Supaul.
Arwal SP Uma Shankar Prasad has been posted as SP anti-terrorist squad while Vikash Burman has been posted as the new Samastipur SP. Burman replaced Harpreet Kaur, who has been posted as BMP-5 commandant in place of Burman. Prasad has been replaced by Rajeev Ranjan, who was posted as SP (G) in special branch.
Banka SP Swapna G Meshram has been posted as SP (A) in special branch. Bagaha SP Arvind Kumar Gupta replaced her. Special branch’s SP (security) Rajeev Ranjan has been posted in the place of Gupta.
Lakhisarai SP Kartikeya Kumar Sharma has been posted as SP (G) in special branch. Gaya’s Imamganj SDPO Sushil Kumar replaced Sharma at Lakhisarai.
