MBA admissions at Pondicherry University to begin on January 24

PUDUCHERRY: Pondicherry University will commence admissions into two-year full-time MBA (international business) programme for the academic year 2019-20 from January 24.
The MBA programme with an intake of 72 students per academic year will have specialization in functional areas such as international finance, cross-cultural management, human resource, global operations and systems and transnational marketing and branding.
The candidates with B. Com/B. Com (CA)/BBA/BCA/B.Sc. (mathematics/statistics/computer science)/ BE/B. Tech with 50% marks can apply for the programme with their common admission test (CAT) score 2018.
The candidates of SC/ST and differently abled categories with a mere pass in the above graduate degrees can apply for the programme. The university will shortlist the eligible candidates based on their CAT score during the third week of March and will make an announcement in this regard to hold counselling and admission.
The university has exempted non-resident Indian (NRI) and foreign candidates from undergoing the regular admission process. NRI candidates can apply directly to the head of the department of international business with proof of NRI status.
The university will consider the NRI status of the father or mother of the candidates for admission. The foreign candidates must route their applications through ICCR, Union human resource development ministry.
The MBA programme aims to attract the cream of students and equip them with the practical nuances of flourishing in the international business environment.
