RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh health department has denied reports that a person from the steel city of
Bhilai has been tested positive for
novel coronavirus (CoVID-19).

Niraj Bansod told TOI this afternoon that a person’s blood sample has been collected and sent to a laboratory at Pune after he arrived at Raipur from
Kenya.
“As of now, he showed no symptoms but the person has been confined to his house at Bhilai considering his travel history in the recent past”, he said adding reports of his blood tests is expected in the next two to three days.
Passengers arriving at
Swami Vivekananda Airport in the state capital are being screened and people coming from CoVID- 19 affected countries are being taken to the
Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar hospital for further screening at the isolation centre set up at the hospital.
