RAIPUR:
Raipur and
Bilaspur Railway Divisions will convert 10 non-AC coaches of a train into
isolation wards.
South East Central Railway (SECR) zone general manager Gautam Banerjee issued the directives, after which the process of converting the coaches into isolation wards began,” said PRO SECR, Raipur division Shiv Kumar Panwar.
“In case the number of coronavirus-affected patients increases, these coaches can be used as isolation wards.
All coaches have been fully sanitised and have the necessary medical equipment,” said Panwar.
For this, the middle berth on one side and all three berths on the opposite side have been removed. Two of the toilets in a boogie will be converted into bathrooms, where a hand shower, a bucket and a mug will be provided to the patients.
