Coronavirus scare: Chhattisgarh CM warns against concealing foreign travel history

RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Tuesday that not a single case of Covid-19 case has been identified in the state but some people, who have returned from other countries, have committed gross negligence by leaving for their homes without reporting to the health authorities.
“This is serious negligence at the time of a pandemic. Such people are not only causing harm to themselves but also posing threat to their family members, neighbours and to the people of entire state”, he said in an appeal to the people seeking their cooperation to check community spread of the virus infection.

The chief minister said Covid-19 has already been declared as a pandemic as the viral infection has spread to 151 countries. He said the state health department has already made elaborate arrangements to deal with the situation but fighting the disease is possible only with the cooperation of the people
The chief minister appealed to the people to pass on information about those people who have concealed the travel history to the health authorities on toll free number 104 so that appropriate precautions could be taken.
