Coronavirus scare: Multiplexes closed in Chhattisgarh till March 31

In compliance to the advisory issued by Central government for prevention and control of coronavirus (Covid-19) infection, all the cinema halls and multiplexes in Chhattisgarh will remain closed till March 31.

RAIPUR: In compliance to the advisory issued by Central government for prevention and control of coronavirus (Covid-19) infection, all the cinema halls and multiplexes in Chhattisgarh will remain closed till March 31. A circular in this regard was issued on Saturday by commercial tax department of the state.
The state government has ordered that all the schools, colleges, private and technical universities, specified public places and Aganwadi centres in Chhattisgarh will remain closed till March 31.
Also, the Chhattisgarh state transport commissioner has issued a circular to all regional, additional regional and district transport officials, all public transport service vehicle operators-owners and traffic-transport associations to keep the vehicles clean in order to protect and aware the public towards the prevention and control of novel coronavirus.
Former chief minister Ajit Jogi on Sunday, too, applauded the precautionary steps took by state government. JCC supremo said that the precautionary steps took by the state government so far to prevent the virus is commendable. He said, "Besides malls, liquor shops should be closed too. Covid-19 is a very dangerous disease and it should not spread at all."
Appreciating the precautionary steps being taken by taken by Bhupesh Baghel-led Congress government in Chhattisgarh against the spread of Covid-19 , Bollywood actor Mahima Chaudhary has said, "People's life is most important, financial benefits can be achieved later. Economic benefits can wait as life and health are more important matters. The decision related to closing the cinema halls is a very good step taken by the state government in Chhattisgarh."
Leaving before the state capital for Mumbai on Sunday, Bollywood actor Mahima Chaudhary, who arrived here on Saturday to attend a private event was interacting with reporters at Swami Vivekanand international airport.
