Former scribe Vinod Verma appointed as Chhattisgarh CM's political advisor

RAIPUR: Four days after Congress formed its government in Chhattisgarh and Bhupesh Baghel took oath as the chief minister, former senior journalist cum member of Editor's Guild India, Vinod Verma has been appointed the political advisor to CM on Thursday. Another former senior scribe Ruchir Garg has been appointed his media advisor.
According to a circular issued by department of state general administration, four advisors have been appointed to chief minister Bhupesh Baghel.

Pradeep Sharma from Bilaspur has been appointed as advisor to CM for planning, policy, agriculture and rural development, while Rajesh Tiwari has been given the charge of CM's Parliamentary advisor.
During the previous BJP regime, Vinod Verma was arrested by the state police in connection with circulation of an alleged sleaze CD but Verma and the Congress party had termed it as a case of political vendetta. Ruchir Garg, who was editor of a Hindi daily in the state capital, had quit his job recently to join the Congress.
On December 17, Bhupesh Baghel took oath as the chief minister of the state after Congress wrestled to power in state winning 68 seats.
