Inter-state travel open for all, but register on e-pass
RAIPUR: Clearing confusion over guidelines on travel and quarantine rules, the state transportation secretary Kamalpreet Singh said that the inter-state movement is opened for all, however, it is mandatory to register on e-pass application/website.
As of now no SOP has been drafted for people who want to visit the state. In special cases, they can apply through e-pass. People from Chhattisgarh are allowed to visit states which again requires e-pass.
E-pass is not a permission seeking app but issues an acknowledgement to maintain a record of people coming via rail, road or flight, Raipur incharge collector Saurabh Kumar clarified.

Explaining the inter-state protocol for seeking permission through airways, Raipur airport director Rakesh R Sahay said, “As per the state government’s directive, it is mandatory to register on epass.chcovid19.in before the journey, where the passenger will have to enter details on Covid symptoms like breathlessness, cough and fever. After landing at the airport, if one is found to be Covid suspect, then they will be quarantined in government or private paid isolation centres for two days until their RTPCR swab test is out.
If the traveler does not have any Covid symptoms, then they can go further only on the condition of home quarantine. The traveler can catch another flight from Raipur at their convenience after being thermally tested and providing their staying details.
Earlier, in the day, opposition BJP alleged lack of clarity in travel rules and demanded clear guidelines.
