Three special trains bring scores of stranded people back to Chhattisgarh
Chhattisgarh govt has arranged 20 Shramik special trains to bring back stranded people from various states in the country.
RAIPUR: Three Shramik special trains on Thursday brought back scores of people including workers, students and others to Chhattisgarh from Maharashtra, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The poeple of Chhattisgarh, who were stranded at Limbur (Hyderabad) in state of Telangana were alighted at Durg while people stranded in Nandurbar in state of Maharashtra, were alighted in the state capital and people, who were stuck in Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, were alighted in Rajnandgaon district after the Shramik special trains arrived.

As many as 290 passengers of 10 districts of Chhattisgarh including workers, students and others alighted at Raipur railway station. These 290 passengers were from various districts including 103 from Bastar, 51 from Dantewada, 30 from Sukma, 27 from Bijapur, 26 from Gariaband, 25 from Mahasamund, 11 from Raipur, nine from Kondagaon six from Dhamtari and one from Narayanpur district of the state respectively.
Besides, state capital Raipur, another Shramik train was halted in Durg railway station, which arrived from Limbur (Hyderabad) in state of Telangana.
At Durg railway station, 113 passengers of three districts were alighted including 94 from Bemetara, 13 from Durg and six from Balod district respectively.
In Rajnandgaon railway station, 81 passengers of two districts of the state, who were stuck in Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, were alighted, including 56 labourers from Kabirdham and 25 from Rajnandgaon district.
After medical screening at the railway stations, people were sent to their districts by buses and they will be kept in quarantine centers for 14 days as a precautionary measure against coronavirus spread.

Chhattisgarh labour minister Dr Shivkumar Dahariya said that state government has arranged 29 Shramik special trains for the migrants, students, people in distress or people in need of medical care of Chhattisgarh state, stranded in other states, for bringing them back to the Chhattisgarh state.

By applying on this link, people will be able to return to Chhattisgarh through these trains.
