Ranchi: A Kolkata-Ranchi-Delhi
AirAsia flight carrying 127 passengers was brought back to the
Birsa Munda airport in Ranchi soon after take-off on Saturday after the pilot was alerted about a fire in the cargo area of the aircraft.
The
Kolkata-Ranchi-Delhi flight I5-549 carrying 127 passengers, including crew, took off from Ranchi airport at 5.25pm. Members of the ground staff were on standby as the plane made the emergency landing.
"All passengers were evacuated and the entire aircraft was checked.
There was no sign of any fire," said an
airport official.
