Four get life for triple murder

RANCHI: A sessions court in Ranchi on Wednesday sentenced four persons to life imprisonment for murdering three members of a family in Dasam Falls police station area in August 2016.
The additional judicial commissioner S S Prasad sentenced Budhu Munda alias Ram Munda, Madaki Munda, Achhu Munda alias Etwa Munda and Budhu Munda alias Madrai Munda under Sections 302 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code.A fine of Rs 10,000 each has also been imposed on them.
The murders are said to be a fallout of a land dispute. Public prosecutor Parmanand Yadav said, "During the trial, the prosecution produced seven witnesses to establish its case. The convicts had tried to use witchcraft as a pretext for the murders."
