JD-U raises concern over increasing mob attacks in Jharkhand
Protesting against the growing number of mob attacks in Jharkhand, JD(U) functionaries marched to the East Singhbhum deputy commissioner’s office on Tuesday and urged the government to take immediate steps to check such incidents. The JD(U) leaders said that the state government should initiate steps to ensure that no one dares to play mischief with the secular fabric and communal harmony is not disturbed.
JD(U), an NDA partner in Centre and in the neighbouring Bihar, has decided to contest on all 81 seats in the coming assembly polls in Jharkhand.

Presenting a charter of demands to the DC, the party said the long-pending ownership issue of six bustees in Jamshedpur should be taken up the government immediately as it involves the future of thousands of people. JD(U) sources said people living in these bustees have suffered for long and should be immediately handed over the ownership rights.
For decades, the residents of these bustees have been demanding they be handed over the ownership of the land they have been living on for years. Though the demand makes headlines before all assembly polls, no government has resolved this issue.
They also demanded that work on the construction of four-lane Ranchi-Jamshedpur-Kolkata highway be completed soon. Work on NH-33 has been going on for quite a long time and travelling on this road is a nightmare for people.
