Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth to turn campaign offices into samadhan centres
Ranchi: Newly-elected BJP MP from Ranchi Lok Sabha seat, Sanjay Seth, who has made his debut in parliamentary politics on Friday announced he will convert his campaign offices at all the six assembly segments into samadhan (facilitation) centres to assist the people in constituencies avail benefit of Centre-sponsored welfare schemes.
Seth, who defeated his nearest rival, former Union minister and Congress nominee Subodh Kant Sahay, by a margin of of 2,83,026 votes was upbeat on Friday as he laid out his plans for the constituency.
“When I was campaigning, I came to know from villagers that several eligible beneficiaries were yet to receive the benefits of various welfare schemes implemented by the Centre for the lack of assistance.”
“Many complained to me that they stopped receiving their old age pensions while some said they didn’t get their Ayushman Bharat cards or homes under PMAY. I found out later their documents were incomplete,” Seth said, adding, “I want to convert my office into samadhan Kendras to provide necessary assistance to the people of my constituency, so the last person left can avail of the benefits.”
Seth said he doesn’t believe in dynasty politics and no one from his family will ever claim to contest elections after his retirement. “I come from an organisation where talent, honesty and discipline are paramount. We do not believe in dynastic politics and hence I would never promote any member of my family to claim the legacy in my name. I will also disclose my personal income every year in April along with my report to the people to maintain transparency in my work,” he added.
