Gorkha soldiers' attestation ceremony held

A batch of 185 trainees graduated as Gorkha soldiers and took part in an attestation ceremony at the 58 Gorkha Training Centre (GTC) at Happy Valley here on Friday.

SHILLONG: A batch of 185 trainees graduated as Gorkha soldiers and took part in an attestation ceremony at the 58 Gorkha Training Centre (GTC) at Happy Valley here on Friday.
"The attestation parade was held to give to the nation a proud batch of 185 newly enrolled soldiers who graduated with unfaltering determination to serve the country by taking oath to take on the supreme responsibility of serving and protecting the motherland," a GTC spokesperson said.

The attestation ceremony conducted at the Soltee Hall of the 58 Gorkha Training Centre which was reviewed by Brigadier Mukesh Gurung, Commandant 58 GTC. In his address, the Commandant congratulated the young soldiers of the Indian Army on their successful completion of their rigorous training at the GTC.
