Himachal CM takes dig at opposition, praises one year term of PM Modi

SHIMLA: Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur has once again targeted the Congress party by saying that statements of opposition leaders shows that they are living in confusion right now. He said that opposition has forgotten that power has changed both at the Center and state. He said that the late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi had once said that out of one rupee received from Delhi, only 15 paise reaches the beneficiary.
He said that in Modi led NDA government, every amount received from the center is deposited in the beneficiary's account.
Jai Ram Thakur while interacting with media persons in Shimla on Friday said that despite challenges of dealing with the Covid-19 epidemic, one year of the Modi government has been full of achievements. He said that powerful countries of the world have also appreciated the strong leadership of Prime Minister Modi during this period.
He said that when opposition remained in power, then their government always remained in limelight due to scams. On the contrary, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Center the government did not have a single stain of corruption for 6 consecutive years. He said that to bring the workers from Nepal for the upcoming apple season in the state, his government has written to the Union government.
While listing the achievements of Modi government, he said that now the country is moving towards self-sufficiency. He said that today manufacturing of PPE kits, N-95 masks and ventilators is being done in the country itself. He said that the Union Government's economic package of Rs 20 lakh crore will be successful in getting the country out of the challenging phase.
He said that along with the hotel industry of the state, 95 percent small, micro and medium industries will be benefited with the central government package. He said that by scrapping Article 370 and 35-A from Jammu and Kashmir centre has united the entire country.
He said that it was because of the will power of Modi government that Muslim women got rid of triple talaq. He said that many important decisions including paving way for Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya, to open Kartarpur Corridor, to implement the Civil Amendment Act, to merge banks, to give one rank-one pension, to start Ayushman Bharat scheme were other decisions of Modi government. He said that befitting replies to the misadventures of Pakistan has been given through surgical strike and air strike.
