Himachal Pradesh CM seeks support of industrialists for Global Investors Meet's success
CM Jai Ram Thakur presided the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Baddi-Brotiwala-Nalagarh Industries Association (BBNIA) at Baddi in Solan district on Wednesday.
SHIMLA: Terming entrepreneurs of the state as brand ambassadors who could play a major role in attracting investments, chief minister Jai Ram Thakur has sought their support to make the Global Investors Meet slated for November 7 and 8 this year at Dharamshala a huge success.
He said that role of entrepreneurs in progress and development of the state was vital. He said that industries of state were not only providing employment to lakhs of youth but were also contributing to state exchequer by way of taxes worth crores of rupees.
Jai Ram Thakur said this while presiding over the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Baddi-Brotiwala-Nalagarh Industries Association (BBNIA) at Baddi in Solan district on Wednesday evening.
He said the government was ensuring that entrepreneurs get best environment to invest and run their business in the state.
He said the state was now ranked top amongst Fast Movers Category in Ease of Doing Reforms and the Single Window Monitoring and Clearance Authority reflects strong commitment of state government to ensuring efficiency, transparency, timeliness and accountability in providing services to investors.
He said that BBNIA was a major contributors in the fast industrialisation of state and government ensured to give priority to this area in strengthening infrastructure. He said that four-laning work of Pinjore-Baddi-Nalagarh Road would be expedited to facilitate the entrepreneurs.
He invited the entrepreneurs from the area to be part of Global Investors Meet and contribute in the development of state. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah would also attend the Global Investors Meet.
Jai Ram Thakur said that till date MoUs worth Rs 79,000 crore had been signed in the state. He said that investors coming from outside would not be able to invest without the active support of local entrepreneurs as it was necessary to do business in the state.
