To attract investment from Germany and the Netherlands, Himachal Pradesh chief minister Jai Ram Thakur, along with a team of officials, is visiting these countries from June 10 to 15.

SHIMLA: To attract investment from Germany and the Netherlands, Himachal Pradesh chief minister Jai Ram Thakur, along with a team of officials, is visiting these countries from June 10 to 15.
Within this month, he will visit Dubai to attract investment in real estate and tourism sectors. Himachal Pradesh is going to hold Global Investors Meet at Dharamshala in September this year.

Before that a delegation would visit these countries to apprise the industrialists and business houses there about the investment opportunities available in Himachal Pradesh. Sources said that the chief secretary and officials of concerned departments are looking for investment opportunities from these countries.
According to sources, government intends to attract investment from Germay in automobile and pharmaceutical sectors. They said that Germany is leading in automobiles and pharmaceuticals sectors so the state government is hoping to attract investment in these two sectors from there during the two-day visit on June 11 and 12. Already many companies from Germany have invested in India.
After Germany, the delegation will visit the Netherlands on June 13 and 14. As the Netherlands is leading in dairy sector and Himachal Pradesh has immense potential for investment in this sector, the state government is to attract investment in dairy sector. As state government has decided to hold Global hoping to attract Investors in dairy sector from there.
Entire exercise is aimed at creating employment opportunities through increased investment. During his foreign visit, Jai Ram Thakur and his team will conduct road shows and meetings with the investors.
