SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh has extended the Covid-19 lockdown and curfew till May 31. Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur said the state has witnessed a spike in coronavirus infection cases in the past few days. Under such circumstances, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to continue with the lockdown in the country.
Thakur said lockdown-4 will start in the country from Monday, but in Himachal Pradesh, curfew will also continue till May 31.

He said the rise in Covid-19 positive cases in the state could be attributed to the return of people from red zones. He said a doctor and a police head constable had also tested positive.
