Himachal Pradesh: Mohali tourist killed in paragliding accident in Manali

MANALI: A 24-year-old tourist from Mohali was killed while a local pilot was injured after a paraglider crashed at Solang valley of Manali on Saturday evening.
Identified as Amandeep Singh, 24, resident of Kothi No 20, Phase 2, Near Bassi Theatre, Mohali, the victim had come to Manali for a holiday trip with his friend on Friday. On Saturday, both went to Solang for sightseeing and Amandeep decided to try hand on paragliding.

He did tandem flight with pilot Ranveer Singh, resident of Burua village of Manali. After some time, pilot lost control of the paraglider and it crashed near the landing ground. The tourist died on the spot while pilot was rushed to hospital for treatment.
Manali deputy superintendent of police Sher Singh Thakur said the family members of victim have been informed while pilot is getting treatment. "A case under section 336, 304A IPC has been registered. We are investigating the reasons of the accident," he said.
