No govt nod needed for residents to enter Himachal Pradesh

People who want to return to Himachal Pradesh by air or train will not be required to take permission from the state government as airline ticket, boarding pass and train ticket will be a valid document for movement beyond the airport and railway station. It will be mandatory to download Aarogya Setu app before boarding the flight or train or entering the state.

SHIMLA: People who want to return to Himachal Pradesh by air or train will not be required to take permission from the state government as airline ticket, boarding pass and train ticket will be a valid document for movement beyond the airport and railway station. It will be mandatory to download Aarogya Setu app before boarding the flight or train or entering the state.
The state disaster management cell has issued detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) for movement by domestic flights and trains.
Passengers coming from red zones will be shifted to institutional quarantine centres earmarked by district administration for 14 days. Passengers coming from orange and green zones will be screened before being sent in home quarantine for 14 days.
As per guidelines, in case an individual wants to use a quarantine centre which has better facilities than the one designated by the district administration, same will be arranged for a payment. All persons in institutional quarantine will have to mandatorily undergo Covid-19 test between the sixth and 10th day of the quarantine. If found negative, they would be sent for home quarantine.
Also, home quarantine immediately after travel would be allowed for person carrying Covid019 test report, issued by a laboratory authorised by ICMR, which is negative and issued within last three days prior to date of journey. They would have to submit an undertaking that they would monitor their health for 14 days. If found positive at any stage, such persons will be shifted to a medical facility.
Principal secretary (revenue) Onkar Sharma saidhough airline ticket, boarding pass and confirmed train ticket will be a valid document for movement beyond airports and railway stations, travelers would have to carry a valid identity card. Also, entry or exit through state borders will be allowed only from 7am to 7pm.
