SHIMLA: Already battling biting cold, Himachal Pradesh will see another spell of snow in the coming week. Shimla Meteorological Centre has issued a yellow warning for low hills on January 13 and an orange alert for middle and high hills.
Following heavy snowfall last week, 629 roads in the state, including five national highways and one state highway, are still blocked and power supply has not been completely restored in snowbound areas.

On Monday, heavy rainfall and snowfall is likely to occur at few places in mid and high hills. Tourist town of Shimla would also receive snowfall on January 13,14, 16 and 17 along with other places in snowbound areas of state.
The colour-coded warnings are issued to alert the public ahead of severe or hazardous weather and an orange alert signifies weather that has the capacity to impact significantly.
Most parts of the state, including Kufri and Manali, reeled under sub-zero temperatures, with Keylong in
Lahaul and Spiti district recording the lowest temperature at minus 14.3 degrees Celsius.
Twenty-nine roads still remain blocked in
Chamba district, 40 in Kinnaur, 66 in Kullu, including two national highways, two national highways and one state highway in Lahaul-Spiti district, 44 roads in Mandi, 275 in Shimla and 12 in Sirmaur.
The minimum temperature in Kinnaur's Kalpa was minus 5.5 degrees Celsius, followed by Kufri in Shimla district at minus 4 degrees Celsius and Manali in Kullu district at minus 2.8 degrees Celsius. In Shimla, the minimum temperature was 3 degrees Celsius while Bhuntar saw minus 0.5 degrees Celsius and Solan minus 0.4 degrees Celsius.
