Himachal Pradesh: Three killed, three injured in Mandi car accident

Three residents of Chamba district were killed while three others were injured when the car they were travelling met with an accident near Pandoh, along Mandi-Manali national highway, in Mandi district on Sunday wee hours around 12.30 am. Car was on its way to Kullu from Chamba district and when it reached few hundred meters ahead of Pandoh dam, driver lost control over the wheel met and car fell into the dam.

SHIMLA: Three residents of the Chamba district in Himachal Pradesh were killed while three others were injured when the car they were travelling met with an accident near Pandoh along Mandi-Manali national highway in the Mandi district on Sunday wee hours around 12.30 am. Car was on its way to Kullu from Chamba district and when it reached few hundred meters ahead of Pandoh dam, the driver lost control over the wheel met and car fell into the dam.

After receiving the information, a police team from Pandoh reached the spot. There were total six people travelling in the ill-fated car (HP-73A-1652). While three people died on the spot, those injured were rushed to Government hospital Mandi for treatment.
Those killed have been identified as the driver and owner of car Rohit Kumar of Lahda village, Ajay Kumar of Bhagra village and Soni Pal of Lahda village. Those injured have been identified as Arun Kumar and Sanjay Kumar of Bainsal village and Manu Kumar of Lahda village of Chamba district.
Police have registered the case and started the probe to know the reasons leading to accident. The family of the deceased and injured have been telephonically informed about the accident. The bodies would be handed over to family members after conducting the post-mortem at Zonal Hospital Mandi.
