SURAT/SILVASSA: Union home minister Amit Shah tore into the opposition camp while talking about the abrogation of Article 370 and 35(A) from Jammu and Kashmir.
Shah was in the Union territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli on Sunday to lay foundation stones and inaugurate number of projects including a parmedical institute and announcing a new tourism policy at Silvassa.
While addressing a rally in Silvassa, Shah said the steps taken by the BJP government towards national unity has been misused by the opposition, while Pakistan has taken up the issue at the international forum.

When he asked the audience to validate the government’s action, the crowd replied that they agreed with the decision to remove Article 370 from Kashmir.
Naming Rahul Gandhi from the opposition as the biggest critic of the democratic step, Shah alleged that the Gandhi scion has been making a big hue and cry about it and inadvertently helped Pakistan take the issue from him and raise it in the UN. The Union territory has been given permission for a medical college and the first batch starts this year. Shah also informed that Rs 1,400 crore has been sanctioned by the Prime Minister for development of the Union territory.
