It’s win-win for cricket fans and hoteliers

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: From live screening to free dinner and special packages, cricket enthusiasts in the capital city are spoilt for choice this World Cup season
Several hotels have come up with attractive offers to woo cricket lovers who are in search for the perfect spots to watch the matches on big screen.
Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) has launched a special package at Mascot Hotel, PMG here.Tea or coffee with one vegetarian snack and buffet dinner for Rs 900/person is offered at the hotel from 3pm onwards for those who drop in to watch the preliminary matches where India is playing on June 16, 22, 27, 30 and July 2 and 6 and the two semi-finals and final on July 9, 11 and 14.

Cricket Shack at Attinkuzhi near Kazhakkoottam is offering a 10% discount on all orders from 12pm to 6pm on Sunday, when India play Pakistan. They are also conducting ‘Predict The Winner’ challenge through its social media pages and four lucky people could win dinner coupons.
Another contest was held on Saturday – ‘Hell’s Pizza Challenge’ – where participants have to eat three pizza slices made of spicy ghost pepper in three minutes.
“We see good rush when Team India is playing,” attested Asmi Salman of Cricket Shack.
Another hotel, Hycinth is conducting a prediction contest and one winner is offered a free dinner voucher.
The hotel has arranged a live screening of World Cup tournament at its Café Jade, Thampanoor here.
Windsor Rajadhani, Kowdiar has also made arrangements for screening the matches.
