KSRTC issues order against cancellation of services

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: With school reopening around the corner, KSRTC has given directions to its staff to improve the transport corporation's revenue. Accordingly, KSRTC chief traffic manager and executive director of operation has warned strict action against those who cancel bus services.
"The new academic year will begin soon and it is an opportunity to improve the revenue. So, unit officers and zonal head have been asked to take necessary steps to prevent cancellation of services.Unit officers have been asked to ensure the services meet the set target of fare collection," said G Anil Kumar, chief traffic manager and executive director of operation at KSRTC.
As per the order, the vehicle inspector, station master, controlling inspector and other senior officers of the depot will be held responsible for cancellation of services due to shortage of crew and a report need to be submitted on the absence of crew.
