THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Sabarimala temple will be opened for the
monthly puja on Saturday evening. The temple will be closed on June 20 after the five-day pujas for the
Malayalam month of
Mithunam.
Temple chief priest V N Vasudevan Namboothiri will open the nada at 5.30pm on Saturday, in the presence of head priest (tantri) Kandararu Rajeevaru. There won't be any pujas on Saturday evening. The main puja will be held on June 16, the first day of Mithunam.
Devotees will be allowed to trek the hill shrine from Saturday evening.
