‘Sharp Vision’ for upcoming doctors
Thiruvananthapuram: With an aim to help ambitious medical students, Karthik Raj - a second year MBBS student of Sree Gokulam Medical College in Thiruvananthapuram has come up with a tutorial blog titled ‘Sharp Vision’. A first-of-its-kind initiative, it will help both MBBS students and aspiring post-graduate medicos in studies.
After four months since its launch, number of viewers of Sharp Vision has crossed 5,000 and has been shared by famous experts in the country.
“It is the most efficacious way of interaction where you can interact with a group of students and where every student could share their own opinions which is actually a kind of online combined study,” said Karthik Raj- master brain behind Sharp Vision. He added that the main activity of Sharp Vision is to help the students clear the tough MBBS examination and other preparatory examinations.
“It is done by students themselves with the help of expert doctors. There will be a review session where important topics and questions for the university examinations will be discussed, which would help the students to have an effective last-minute revision. They will also get a better understanding about the question pattern. The notes and questions will be added by senior students for their juniors and will be rechecked by the panel of teachers,” he added.
Dr Harsh Mohan, head of pathology department, Government Medical College, Chandigarh is the head of Sharp Vision blog committee. The teachers’ panel for under-graduate and post-graduate courses include Dr N Geetha and Dr Doris George Yohannan, of Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram. tnn
