THIRUVANTHAPURAM: A video song written, composed and sung by Nandu Mahadeva, a cancer survivor from Attingal in Thiruvananthapuram, has gone viral on social media. The young man who refused to be "confined to a cabin" has chosen to be an inspiration for millions.
The video song - a tribute to the helping hands who supported Nandu during his treatment - has been seen more than 1 million times.


Nandu, who was diagnosed with cancer and had his left limb amputated, told his doctors he didn't require his both legs to see the world.
Nandu wishes to be an inspiration for those who suffer from ailments and difficulties - he says, he never wants to "end up his life in a closed cabin".
