Resident commissioner at Andhra Bhavan in New Delhi resigns from TTD LAC chairmanship
TIRUPATI: Indian Administrative Services officer Praveen Prakash, resident commissioner at Andhra Bhavan in New Delhi, who was appointed as the chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams local advisory committee (LAC) that manages TTD's local temple cum information centre, resigned from his chairmanship on Saturday.
Praveen Prakash's resignation from the TTD post comes in the backdrop of an ongoing inquiry into allegations related to the irregularities and diversion of funds reported at the TTD's temple in the national capital.

According to reliable sources, after allegations related to the irregularities and diversion of funds had surfaced, the TTD administration launched a probe and appointed senior IAS officer Praveen Prakash as the inquiry officer.
But even as the probe by the LAC chairman himself was going on, a parallel enquiry was ordered to be carried out by the vigilance and enforcement wing of the state government. It is learnt that the TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy who felt there was a need for a thorough probe by an outside agency had pressed for the same.
