APRTGS issues high alert for coastal Andhra Pradesh

Based on the heavy rain prediction by IMD, the Andhra Pradesh Real Time Governance Society (APRTGS) on Wednesday issued high alert for coastal and north coastal Andhra Pradesh. The APRTGS in its warnings alerted the district collectors across coastal Andhra Pradesh to direct fishermen not to venture into the sea considering the rough conditions with deep depression.

VISAKHAPATNAM: Based on the heavy rain prediction by IMD, the Andhra Pradesh Real Time Governance Society (APRTGS) on Wednesday issued high alert for coastal and north coastal Andhra Pradesh.
The APRTGS in its warnings alerted the district collectors across coastal Andhra Pradesh to direct fishermen not to venture into the sea considering the rough conditions with deep depression.

District administrations are directed to alert revenue department and take necessary measures to relocate the people living in fishermen villages and other lowly areas.
The APRTGS directed the public not to cross rivulets, canals and other water bodies as water levels are gradually rising with continuous rain from Tuesday morning.
Krishna district collector A Md Imtiaz conducted a teleconference with officials and directed them to take necessary measures for the safety of people living in flood prone areas.
Krishna district administration had decided to start three help lines across the district as wind speed is likely to touch 50 kilometers per hour by Wednesday evening.
Considering the huge inflows at SriSailam and Nagarjuna Sagar Project irrigation authorities issued alert at Prakasam Barrage. Officials estimated that around 4 lakh cusecs flood water is likely to reach Prakasam Barrage by Friday morning.
