Several Goan foodies and budding food bloggers got together for a creative remake of the viral 'pass the brush challenge', but with food! 'The Goan Bite' conceptualised by Ashrafi and Ruben helped the foodies connect virtually to support each other, while they got creative in the kitchen, cooking a variety of interesting food, which was 'passed' during the video!

"The plan was to get many food content creators to create something together.
It's great how during the pandemic, we could virtually connect with each other. I made donde, which always makes me nostalgic about my childhood. I was so excited and wanted to make the video perfect," says Ashrafi Gaikwad from Wanderlust Foodies.

Similarly, Ruben Rodrigues from Masterclass de R7 says, "The challenge was an awesome and amazing experience for me as I had the chance to work with my family aka foodies of Goa, right from cooking the food to the shooting of the video." Kevin Pinto from The Foodaholic Panda adds, "This is the first time that I’ve been a part of a challenge like this. It was really fun to try out something new and to collaborate with other like-minded people. I think the lockdown wasn’t that bad because it gave me an opportunity to try out new delicacies, shoot videos and be a part of this pass the plate challenge."

The participants cooked various Goan dishes like Bebinca, Sheer Khurma, Alle Belle, Jackfruit Chips, Caramel Pudding, Raagi Pudding, Coconut Cupcakes and Aloo Vadi. Ankita Nagvekar from Veg Food Trails says, "This video was definitely a fun thing to do, as the concept of this video was on-point - passing food to showcase different Goan dishes. It likewise got fellow bloggers to do something together and support each other."
