'2.0' box office collection day 13: The Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer collects Rs 3 crore on Tuesday

Director S. Shankar's big-budget Sci-Fi film '2.0' starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar is continuing good collections at the box office even as the movie enters its thirteenth day. The film is the sequel to this 2010 hit film Enthiran (Robot). The film which hit the screens on 29th November is now the third highest grosser of the year, crossing the collections of 'Race 3' on Monday.

According to the latest report by BoxofficeIndia.com, the film has managed to rake in another Rs 3 crore at the box office on Tuesday.However, the collection on Tuesday is 20% lower than that of the previous day. The film has now collected Rs 170.50 crores in total after 13 days.
The previous week also saw the film not performing well on the Tuesday to Thursday period, but then holding up strongly on Monday.

The film's plot revolves around Chitti (played by Rajinikanth), the once dismantled humanoid robot, and Pakshirajan (played by Akshay Kumar), an ornithologist who seeks vengeance on cell phone users to prevent bird population decline.
The S. Shankar directorial is also touted as the most expensive Indian film ever made, with a budget of over Rs 500 crore. The film had already crossed the Rs 100 crore mark even before release as it witnessed massive pre-bookings.

'2.0' features Rajinikanth reprising his characters of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti from the 2010 hit film 'Enthiran' (Robot). Akshay Kumar plays the antagonist in the film. The film also stars Amy Jackson. Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain, Kalabhavan Shajohn, and K. Ganesh appear in supporting roles.
