Pranaya Meenukalude Kadal review highlights: A romantic tale in the scenic settings of Kavaratti
Kamal displays his signature style with his Pranayameenukalude Kadal. The 135-minute film has Vinayakan, Dilesh Pothen, Shyju Kurup and Sudheesh in important roles.
The first half is a visual treat, with a taste of the beautiful beach life of Kavaratti island of Lakshadweep. The love story of Ajmal and Jasmin, played by newbies Gabri Jose and Riddhi Kumar, take the movie forward. Ajmal is in love with Jasmin but will she accept him? The second half will reveal this.
The film also has good, hummable music by Shaan Rahmaan.
Vinayakan, in his role of Haidru the shark hunter, holds some mystery. Ajmal and his team from Kozhikode came to repair an uru (a large wooden boat). Will he stay back to win over his love?
The first half, with a good romantic story and other elements, works very well.
