Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti's (NVS) Shillong Regional Office is organizing the second National Rope Skipping Meet 2019 (for both boys and girls) at JNV,Nalbari in Assam from August 19 to 21.

GUWAHATI: Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti's (NVS) Shillong Regional Office is organizing the second National Rope Skipping Meet 2019 (for both boys and girls) at JNV,Nalbari in Assam from August 19 to 21.
The inaugural function was held on August 19 where Bharat Bhusan Dev Choudhury, deputy commissioner of Nalbari was the chief guest, while Shyamaleema Deka, deputy commissioner of NVS Shillong regional office was the guest of honour.
A total of 271 participants along with 36 team managers and escort teachers participated in the inaugural ceremony march past. Besides, around 100 students from Milan Higher Secondary School and the students of the host school witnessed the colorful inaugural ceremony.
The main attraction of the programme was the girls' musical band from JNV Udalguri. The presentation of the band in melodious and synchronized manner mesmerized the audiences. The chief guest and the guest of honour unfurled the second NVS national rope skipping meet flag. In her address, Shyamaleema Deka accorded a warm welcome to the chief guest as well as all the dignitaries and the participants of the meet.
Nalbari deputy commissioner Dev Choudhury expressed his happiness to be amongst the young students and emphasized that emotional intelligence and social intelligence have become a part and parcel of modern education system. He appealed to all the participants to play in a true sportsmanship spirit before finally declaring the meet open. The students of the host school presented a colourful cultural programme. GS Meena, principal of JNV Nalbari offered the vote of thanks in the programme that was co-hosted by K Bhujel and MK Roy.
