AJMER: Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) has taken on 'Mission Exam' to conduct the upcoming board exams in Rajasthan in a fair and proper manner in which 32 lakh students will appear for different examinations.
The board has made preparations with regard to safety of question paper, conducting strict examination and transparent and valid evaluation of answer sheets with a time-bound programme.
A meeting of education officials of all districts of the state was called on Wednesday in the board office where officials were directed to follow the norms of the board.
Secretary of the board Meghna Choudhary while addressing the meeting said that a single mistake will not only destroy the future of the students but also spoil the image of the board.
She said that the exams of senior secondary are starting from March 7 while exams of secondary board will start from March 14. In both these exams, about 20,14,886 students will appear while 12 lakh students will appear for Class VIII board examination.
She said that the most important work for the board and officials is the security of question papers and that every official must take this job seriously. She asked officials to depute those officers in flying squads who are unbiased and faithful towards their job.
She also asked teachers who evaluate the answer sheets that looking to the future of large number of students, they should remain very careful while evaluating every answer sheet. "Otherwise, a student can take a photo copy of his evaluated answer sheet under Right to Information and can expose the teacher for his carelessness and that will damage the image of the teachers at large," said Choudhary.
Board director G K Mathur said that videography facility will be strengthened to check any wrong practice during examination. He added that all answer sheet collection centres will remain under surveillance and videos of every centre will be made.
