Patiala youth died under mysterious circumstances in Canada

PATIALA: A Punjabi youth from Shutrana town in Patiala district has died under mysterious circumstances in Canada. The deceased has been identified as Harminder Singh, 22.
He had gone to Canada in the year 2017 to study computers and after completing his studies, he was seeking permanent residency in Canada.
The family members came to know about the incident when a police officer from Canada called them on Sunday morning and informed them about the death of Harminder Singh claiming that he had committed suicide.
His father's Sukhvinder Singh sad that he was in constant touch with Harminder Singh and he appeared completely happy with his life expressing concerns that there could be more to his death then suicide which is being cleaned by the Canadian police. His paternal uncle Paramjit Singh said the family has demanded a thorough probe by the Canadian police into the circumstances leading to the death of Harminder Singh.
The family has also sought help from the External Affairs Ministry to make arrangements for the body of the youth to be brought to India.
