Indian Masters Women Hockey Team meets Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister

SHIMLA: A delegation of Indian Masters Women Hockey Team called on the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur in Shimla on Tuesday. Former MP Virender Kashyap led the delegation.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur sexpressed happiness over the selection of Indian Masters Women Hockey Team for European Masters Games, 2019 scheduled to be held at Torino in Italy from July 26 to August 4. This event is being organized by International Masters Games Association.
Jai Ram Thakur said that hockey was our national game and it was heartening to know that the senior women were coming forward to exhibit their talent in this game.
He said that the selection for participation in European Masters Games was done on the basis of National Masters Games held at Dehradun from February 24 to March 2 and it was a matter of pride for the State that maximum selected players in this team belongs to Himachal Pradesh.
He wished the Hockey team a very best for the event and assured that the Government would provide all the all possible help for it.
Captain of the team Usha Sharma, Player- cum-Team Manager Sheela Devi and other players of the team were also part of the delegation.
