NEW DELHI: With the crowd firmly behind them, creating a truly electrifying atmosphere, Dabang Delhi started their home campaign on a sensational note, routing Jaipur Pink Panthers by an impressive margin of 48-35 in the Zone A match of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 6 here on Friday.
Delhi, who were coming into this match after suffering a close away loss against Haryana Steelers, dominated the proceedings from the word go and registered three all-outs against their opponents from Jaipur at the Thyagaraj stadium.

For Delhi, striker Meraj Sheykh had a dream outing as he clinched 15 raid points to deflate the confidence of Jaipur defenders, even leaping in the air for the famous 'frog jump' in the third quarter to dominate the evening. He combined well with Naveen Kumar and Chandran Ranjit (9 points each) and the trio notched up 33 points between them.
For Jaipur, the only saving grace was Deepak Niwas Hooda who cut a lonely figure amid the ruins, accumulating 20 raid points to keep the visitors in the hunt. The two teams had met earlier in Mumbai and it was Delhi which had come out trumps by 40-29.
For Jaipur, their disastrous season continued as they remained perched at the bottom of the Zone A league table while Delhi moved to the fourth position.
In the second match of the evening, Tamil Thalaivas and Patna Pirates fought on an even keel and didn't offer an inch to each other. The contest witnessed several twists and turn in fortunes of both teams and, in the end, the match ended in a draw with a 35-35 verdict. The two teams split three points each.
