A new airport baggage check-in facility is now available at the New Delhi Airport Express Line metro station for GoAir, SpiceJet and AirAsia. Until now, only Air India and Vistara airlines were providing this special facility to air travellers in Delhi.
New Delhi Metro Station is connected to the IGI Airport Terminal 3 via express metro line. The trip takes only 17 minutes, hence the check-in facility has been made available only for T3 passengers. According to the news reports, this new feature has been added to control the increasing passenger traffic at the IGI Airport.

This is going to control the passenger rush before the flight and make life easier for airport staff and travellers alike. Delhi International Airport and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation have extended these services to enhance travelling experience.

This will help in easing out the passenger rush before the flight departure and also help in relieving load off the shoulders of airport staff and the passengers. This is a joint initiative of IGI Airport and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.

However, only GoAir is offering this convenience to international flyers. To avail of the check-in facility at the metro station, passengers need to arrive 2 to 12 hours before the scheduled hour of flight departure.

The check-in counter set up at the entrance of the New Delhi Metro Station will shut down two hours before the flight time. The checked-in baggage will be sent to Delhi Airport’s Terminal 3 via a secured Baggage Handling System (BHS).

Mangu Singh, Managing Director DMRC, told the press that the expansion of the baggage check-in facility will help the business and railway passengers, who want to reach the airport using the Airport Express Line.

For further information on ‘City Check-in’, passengers can get in touch with the customer service staff through the Helpline Numbers of the respective airlines.
