International Mango Festival

If you are an Indian, then you can wholeheartedly understand people’s love for mangoes in India! Summer is probably one of the most-awaited seasons for many, just because it brings a wide range of mangoes along! To celebrate this love, Delhi Tourism Is hosting an International Mango Festival where around 500 varieties of mangoes will be put on display. Mango lovers can relish Dussehri, Neelam, Chausa, Fazli, Banganpalli, Langra, and many more varieties of mango at this yearly mango extravaganza. People just cannot only taste or buy mango products, but they can also participate in various mango eating competition.

Puri Rath Yatra

You probably wouldn’t have witnessed a festival so grand as Puri Rath Yatra, which is basically a public procession in a chariot. The chariot carries idols of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra (his brother) and Subhadra (his sister) along with his weapons. This 12-day long yatra is something one must witness once in their lifetime. You’ll witness thousands of high-spirited followers of Lord Jagannath dancing, singing and celebrating the festival. Also it draws millions of tourists and travellers and pilgrims from across the globe every year!

Behdienkhlam Festival

Counted among one of the most important Indian festivals, the Behdienkhlam is an annual traditional celebration by the Pnar Tribe of Meghalaya. The word khlam means ‘plague’ while behdien means ‘to drive away with sticks’. This agricultural festivity happens just after the farmers are done with the seed sowing process that drives away negative energies that might adversely affect their crop. The three-day festival involves football match between the local teams, and colourful chariot procession.

Karsha Gustor Festival
