When we talk about oranges, the first name that comes to our mind is Nagpur, but how many of you were aware that there’s another place in the country which produces some amazing oranges? Yes, the beautiful town of Aalo (formerly known as Along) in Arunachal Pradesh is all about beautiful orange orchards and nature. Generously bestowed with natural splendour, this tiny town doesn’t have much of tourist attractions which actually is a blessing, and makes the place a perfect peaceful offbeat destination where travellers can soak in the rich culture and tradition of the destination.
Where is Aalo?

Far away from the madding crowd, Aalo is a small census town which is also the centre of the West Siang district in Arunachal Pradesh, around 220 km drive away from Likabali. Being a scarcely populated hill town, Along is absolutely stunning, and quite peaceful. A perfect picturesque place that every traveller dreams of exploring!

Though there aren’t many places to visit in the tiny town of Aalo, but whatever attractions are there, they are no less than wonderland! Check out some of the best points of interest in Aalo:

Patum Bridge: It is one of the most significant crowd puller attractions in Aalo. This 146 m long Patum Cable Bridge was constructed to carry out smooth transportation in the town. Tourists can enjoy enticing views of the surrounding snow-covered mountains from the bridge along with taking in some breathtaking sunset vistas.

Donyi-Polo Temple: So this temple is quite unique as it was a result of a religious revivalist movement that began in 1989 by Talom Rukbo. Donyi-Poloism is an ancient religion wherein sun and moon are worshipped.

Hanging Bridge
: This one is for hardcore adventurers as crossing Hanging Bridge can be really enthralling experience! The bridge was constructed over the river to help the tribal people living in the region to carry out their day-to-day activities.

Orange orchards: Of course, the orange orchards! When two pretty colours, green and orange meet, they create something as magical as the orange fields in Aalo show. You won’t even have to ask the address as all you’ll have to do is follow the sweet smell of the fresh fruit growing in the green fields here. The entire view looks no less than a fresh painting on a canvas, it gets so beautiful here.
