The Sikkim International Flower Festival is organised in the month of May, and this is a great time to visit the state. A beautiful summer getaway, Sikkim is charming by all standards. Here at the festival you will get a chance to get close to nature, and appreciate her offerings.
The festival attracts numerous visitors from across the world, and features almost 600 different types of orchids, alongside 240 types of trees and ferns. You will also get to see different types of bamboos on display here. You will also get to see the charming rhododendron’s 46 variants. The festival is being held for the entire month of May, coming to a close on May 31, 2019.
The ongoing festival also presents visitors with a lot of interesting insights on flora, and so there would be seminars as well attended by experts and scholars. The flower festival is also an opportunity for you to try some local delicacies here at the food stalls. Additionally, visitors can also try their hand at rafting on the Teesta river, and also experience yak safari.
