Kapil Sharma: I’m sure our armed forces will give a befitting reply to the terrorists

Actor-comedian Kapil Sharma is in the eye of a controversy, after he spoke about Navjot Singh Sidhu’s comment in the wake of the recent Pulwama terror attack. Sidhu, who was a part of 'The Kapil Sharma Show', has reportedly been replaced overnight after he made a comment saying, “(for a) handful of people you cannot blame the entire nation (Pakistan).”
Kapil has also invited the wrath of Twitteratti, with many appealing to Salman Khan — the producer of Kapil’s show — to take strict action against him for his stand on Sidhu’s comments.
When BT contacted Kapil, he evaded questions on the controversy. However, he said, “People might have different opinions on how to deal with the perpetrators of terrorism, but we should not get distracted by it. The biggest tribute that we can pay to our martyrs is to show solidarity with their families in this hour of grief. I’m sure our armed forces will give a befitting reply to the terrorists and their handlers in Pakistan.”
