Delhi’s Covid-19 count crossed the one lakh mark on Monday, but there are only 25,620 active cases in Delhi out of which 17,141 patients are under home isolation. Data by ‘Delhi Corona’ app shows that as many as 10,051 (66%) beds of the total 15,301 are lying vacant. In addition, there are 401 ventilator beds lying vacant. “New cases are decreasing and that is why the demand for beds has reduced. This is a positive change and if this trend holds for one or two more weeks, it would be safe to say we are past the crisis situation,” Dr Rommel Tickkoo, Max Hospital Saket, said.
