North, Northeast, Central and East Delhi worst affected by crop burning: IIT-Delhi

The preliminary findings of a recent IIT-Delhi research show that effects of stubble burning from neighbouring states of Punjab and Haryana are not homogenous over different parts of the city. The study found that North, Northeast, Central and East Delhi are the worst affected areas by the crop burning. The concentration of PM 2.5 particles depends on several parameters, such as wind speed, wind direction, boundary layer height and more.
