At a time when the National Capital Region (NCR) and various other states are battling serious air pollution crisis, a 12-year-old class 7 student has invented a device that can measure the PPM count of vehicles and alert the owners of its breach. The boy Avigyan Kishor Das is a student of Hooghly Collegiate School in the Hooghly district of West Bengal. The device is formulated in such a manner that it will first send an alert via SMS to the owner and then ask him to get the engine checked for which a seven day-time period will be given. If the owner doesn't fix the PPM breach by the seventh day, the device will send an alert to the pollution control board and other competent authorities on the eighth day.
