ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of
Pakistan on Thursday ordered Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khanum to deposit Rs29.5 million in taxes and fine in a properties related case.

Mian Saqib Nisar took a suo motu cognizance of Aleema’s property in United Arab Emirates (UAE) on November 28.
According to Pakistani investigators, she owned a luxurious flat in the heart of Dubai, adjacent to
Burj Khalifa, the most expensive area in UAE.
Aleema told the court during the hearing that she had bought the property for $370,000 in 2008 and sold it last year. She raised 50 percent of the total cost by taking bank loans, she told the court. The chief justice asked her to deposit Rs18 million within a week, failing which, her property will be seized.
