A new, rather creative but unrealistic scam is making the rounds on Facebook and is obviously too good to be true. A profile purportedly depicting the Minister of Finance is writing to users, offering them money.

Quite obviously, the scam is not real. Even if you do answer to the profile claiming to be Pierre Gramegna, he will not be sharing money from the state's coffers with random Facebook users.

The fake profile on Facebook has taken both the photograph and name of the Luxembourgish minister and writes to users, asking if they need money to pay bills or fund projects.

As with all scams, the recommended approach is to not respond, to report the profile to Facebook, and delete the message.

Finally, users should avoid clicking the link in the message at all costs.
