Wyoming's roster for next season could be in line for a few more hits.
Running back Reow Jackson, defensive end De'Vaughn Brown and cornerback Jalani Ellison have given notice of their intent to transfer. All of them tweeted Tuesday that they've entered the NCAA's transfer portal, which allows coaches from other schools to contact them.
Players who enter the portal can withdraw and return to their current school, but the players' announcements came with a sense of finality to their time at Wyoming. Ellison said in his post he was informing other coaches that he's "moved on" from the Cowboys' program while Brown and Jackson said they're opening up their recruitment to any interested programs.
"I met brothers that I will never forget and wish you all the best," Jackson added.
Ellison played in five games as a reserve last season but didn't finish the spring on the two-deep heading into his sophomore season. Brown redshirted last year as did Jackson after sustaining an Achilles injury that limited him this spring. Jackson's departure would leave just two scholarship running backs on the roster that have a collegiate carry.
